Look inside @demullies with sofa Moa
Looking inside Jenna and Nathan's interior: Since 2017, they have lived in this newly built house in Linschoten. A few years ago, they started the Instagram account @demullies, in which they share their love for interiors. Since then, the account has grown quite a bit and we take you along into their interiors and story.
Emigrating to Suriname
They were supposed to emigrate to Suriname actually. Jenna has partly Surinamese roots and during a trip to Suriname, they both fell in love with the country. The previous house was even sold but with the arrival of a little one, they decided to stay in the Netherlands. Now they are living here for about four years and have two children in the meantime.

White, whiter, whitest
The interior as it looks now has not always been like this. When they moved into the house, they had a very different style to the one they now show on their Instagram page. For instance, everything was white. When asked ‘How would you describe your old interior style?’ The couple starts laughing hard and responds with ‘It was really a hospital, everything white. White sofa, white walls. It was really totally Scandinavian, but too sterile.’
Minimalistic and Japandi with a beige look
Now they are going for a Japandi look and feel.They are happy to match their interior design tastes.
Both Nathan and Jenna love minimalist. They describe their style as minimalist and Japandi with a beige look. The couple consider themselves very impulsive. If they like something they often buy it right away. Despite the impulse buys, they can really make interior choices that they stand for, making their interiors beautifully harmonious.
Instagram dreamteam
Jenna and Nathan are a good team as well as a couple. Together, for instance, they put a lot of time into their Instagram account with Japandi home inspiration. Nathan usually takes the photos and Jenna makes the reels, maintains the contacts and writes the posts. They complement each other well. From the contacts through Instagram, Jenna has even made friendships. She meets sometimes a group of 10 interior lovers & Instagrammers.
Living consciously
Nathan and Jenna are conscious in life. Not just in terms of values but they are also conscious about sustainability. They have solar panels, cut down on gas and filter the water they drink. Because they are much into minimalism, they have no unnecessary accessories. They also prefer to choose recycled products, as long as it suits their interior.
Moa Dark Vanilla
Favourite items in the house are the sofa, the table and the TV cabinet. These are really unifying factors that make the room a beautiful place. Jenna discovered By SIDDE through a friend and when sofa Moa was just introduced, she was immediately hooked up. After spending a lot of time looking at fabric swatches to see which colour would best suit their interior, they finally chose the Moa in Dark Vanilla. It completely fits their interior style and brings contrast to the living room. The wide lounge unit allows them to lie on the sofa together or watch TV with the kids.
