Sofa Sommer is composed of a wooden carcass, fitted with metal nosag springs, topped with Bonell inner springing and HR cold foam. This is a high-quality filling that softens with use. Depending on body weight and intensity of use, the cushioning and springing decreases in stiffness by 10% in the initial phase, eventually remaining constant at 85% of new value.

Sofa Sommer is upholstered a little looser to create space in the fabric and create casual pleating. This is part of the model and gives Sommer its rugged look. The wide stitched seams are characteristic of this model.
