Looking inside Anke's pastel-colored home
With her husband and two children, Anke lives in a semi-detached house in Veghel. The interior is a cheerful mix of bohemian and vintage, with a colorful twist. Corner sofa Nord fits perfectly into this pastel-colored living room.
Who is @onze.casa?
Anke, a visual design teacher at an intermediate vocational school, enjoys living creatively - both in work and interior design. The passion for interior design arose during the lockdown in 2020. Eager to express her creativity, she decided to make the house her own with a mix of bohemian, vintage and pastel colored elements. A new floor was laid, the walls received a fresh coat of paint, and the interior an upgrade with different furniture and unique vintage finds. The love for interior design resulted in completing an interior design degree. Today, the focus is on decorating children's rooms, giving free rein to creativity with playful wallpaper and murals in soft pastel tones. The children's rooms and the living room, with corner sofa Nord, inspire many followers daily.
“I love creating accents; therefore, wall decoration is really my thing.”
A mix of bohemian, vintage and pastel
The interior style consists of a mix of bohemian, vintage and pastel tones. Natural materials such as wood, rattan and bamboo bring warmth and character to the interior. Vintage items, such as the climbing frame that serves as a room divider, add extra charm. What makes it truly unique are the murals, which create a playful effect. A real favorite is the round wall lamp, curious about the other favorite items? Check them out here!
“For murals, I take a picture of the wall, draw a design on my phone and pick the best one and then get to work with paint.”
Corner sofa Nord
The introduction to By SIDDE began online, where the stylish designs immediately attracted attention. With a fabric swatch kit at home, it became clear how corner sofa Nord in color Cloud Grey, a cool shade of gray, would fit beautifully with the bohemian & vintage style, and with the pastel-colored accents in the interior. Now, a year and a half later, the corner sofa is unmissable: a perfect combination of style and comfort.
Tips from Anke
“For me, interior design is all about three things: daring, doing and sustainability.” Dare to make choices that are just a little bit different. Just get started and don't be afraid to try something. If it doesn't turn out as you had hoped, try again or just repaint that pastel wall.
Sustainability is also important to Anke. Instead of immediately buying new stuff, she first looks at what is already in the house, giving these items a new purpose. She often chooses special vintage finds. With a little courage and creativity, you can turn your interior into something unique!
