We take a look at the home of Iris (@iris.1989), who lives in Sneek with her husband and two daughters. The interior exudes a warm Scandinavian style. From a young age, Iris has had a love for interiors, and she loves to share this passion with others.

From house to home
The family has now been enjoying their stylishly decorated house in Sneek for a year and a half. To make it completely to their own taste, several modifications were made to the house. For instance, all walls were painted in light shades, the oak floor was replaced by a PVC herringbone floor and a new light kitchen was installed. Furthermore, they also paid attention to sustainability, by having a ground source heat pump installed, among other things.
Warm Scandinavian
Iris describes her interior design style as warm Scandinavian. To create this atmosphere, she started by collecting various samples for a mood board. Besides selecting materials, she finds it important to make the interior her own and personal. One of the favourite items in the house is a homemade fabric print. Iris gets interior inspiration from coffee shops, holiday destinations, Instagram and, of course, interior design magazines.
Cornersofa Nord XL
The search was to find a sofa that would not only fit perfectly in the warm Scandinavian interior, but also exactly in the corner of the living room. Corner sofa Nord XL in the colour Beach Sandy turned out to be the perfect match! Iris fell for the subtle black legs and the beautiful finish.
Future plans
On top of the to-do list is the hallway, which Iris says feels rather bare because of the grey tiles. They are considering either laying PVC through this space or opting for a cast floor to reflect the warm Scandinavian look here too. In the future, they would like to build an extension over the garage to create extra space for the girls.
